MØ’s punk duo MOR plays Aarhus and Copenhagen

Behind MOR are Karen Marie Ørsted, better known as MØ, and Josefine Struckmann, who performs under the name Nurse. They formed the duo in Odense in 2007 and were active until 2012. In other words: this is a shared project from before MØ’s pop career, not the name of a new solo tour.

The starting point here is Danish-language electropunk. From the early period come releases such as Fisse I Dit Fjæs and Vanvidstimer. The titles alone suggest that MOR was not formed to provide pleasant background music for a reception. It’s a very different musical context to encounter MØ in than the one many people associate her with.

The duo returned at Copenhell in 2026 and also released the EP Sort Nat on their own label, Lort Records. According to Copenhell’s presentation of MOR, it consists of four songs written in 2012 that never made it out at the time. They have since been completed with Sylvester Struckmann and Danni Storm. So there is also previously unreleased material to dig into before December.

The upcoming nights will not feature only the duo. Booking agency Luger says that other bands and friends from the underground scene will also contribute. The guests have not yet been named in the agency’s concert description, so we’ll have to wait for the full line-up.

In Aarhus, the concert takes place at TRACK, TRAIN’s new concert hall on Kalkværksvej 13. Doors open at 7 p.m., and the concert is scheduled for 8 p.m. Ticket information for TRACK is available from Ticketmaster. I’d start with Sort Nat if I only knew MØ from her solo music. Then there’s something concrete to listen to before the December nights go into the calendar.
